The Cross River Rail CMF Maintenance Yard is a cornerstone of Brisbane’s most extensive public transport infrastructure project — one designed to transform how Queenslanders move through their city for decades to come.

As part of this landmark development, NEACH was proud to deliver the fabrication and installation of the structural steel for the new facility, working in partnership with CPB Contractors to bring this critical part of Queensland’s rail network to life.

Located at Clapham Yard, adjacent to Moorooka Station, the CMF Maintenance Yard forms part of the Cross River Rail’s associated works — a series of projects that expand Queensland’s rail capacity beyond the central tunnels and stations.

Once complete, the facility will be capable of stabling up to 27 trains, supporting the operational needs of Queensland Rail and enabling more frequent, reliable services across the network.

This project plays a vital role in preparing South East Queensland’s public transport system for the population growth and mobility needs leading into the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
